CNC Machinist / Press Brake Operator

Job Information: Located in Bridgewater, NJ
Contract-to-hire. Immediate hire (interview conducted and facility tour offered).
Dayshift: Mon-Fri, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Paying $24 - $28 per hour to start, based on experience. Benefits: Yes (nice package). Sick time: Yes. Paid Holiday: Yes. Paid Vacation: upon hire (post-probation).



CNC Machinist / Press Brake Operator Responsibilities: Learns, trains, operates and masters two (2) different types of machinery: One machine is a basic CNC machine which is used for metal fabrication (grinding, milling, cutting: tolerances to .009). The other is a basic Press Brake machine used to stamp, bend and fold specialized parts.
Manufactures highly specialize aviation and aerospace metal parts and components
Preforms offsets and set-ups
Conducts test runs, inspects parts using highly precise measuring tools
Inspects and completes Quality Control check-list on each manufactured part and documents accordingly
Troubleshoots basic machine issues including adjustments by reading and tweaking machinery.
Preforms basic preventative maintenance such as applying lubricant or changing a simple filter
Changes inserts and dies occasionally
Uses XY axis knowledge and math skills


CNC Machinist / Press Brake Operator Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent is required along with strong math skills. Must be familiar with XY axis (basic knowledge and basic trigonometry).
Must be able to read customer blueprints and diagrams
Must have at least one (1) year of prior CNC machine operation experience, including set-up and operation
Must have prior, basic experience with Fanuc Code
Reference checks conducted, must have prior reliable and predictable attendance history
