Job Title: Lead Certified Nursing Assistant (Lead
CNA)Department: Certified Nursing Assistant DepartmentReports To:
Director of NursingPosition Summary: The Lead CNA is responsible
for overseeing and managing a team of Certified Nursing Assistants
(CNAs) within the skilled nursing rehabilitation center. This role
focuses on enhancing management, retention, accountability,
autonomy, performance, pride, and self-development among the CNA
staff. The Lead CNA will foster a supportive and efficient work
environment, ensuring high-quality patient care and promoting a
positive workplace culture.Key Responsibilities:Leadership and
Supervision:Supervise and mentor a group of CNAs, providing
guidance and support.Conduct regular team meetings to discuss
goals, challenges, and performance.Facilitate continuous
professional development and training opportunities for
CNAs.Patient Care:Ensure CNAs deliver exceptional care to patients,
following established protocols and procedures.Assist in developing
individualized care plans for patients and ensure
compliance.Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the
nursing staff promptly.Management and Accountability:Implement and
maintain accountability systems to track CNA performance.Conduct
performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to
CNAs.Address and resolve any staff-related issues or conflicts
promptly.Retention and Morale:Develop and implement strategies to
improve CNA retention and job satisfaction.Foster a positive work
environment that promotes teamwork, pride, and a sense of
community.Recognize and reward exceptional performance and
contributions.Autonomy and Empowerment:Encourage CNAs to take
initiative and make decisions within their scope of
practice.Provide opportunities for CNAs to participate in
decision-making processes and quality improvement
initiatives.Communication and Collaboration:Serve as a liaison
between CNAs and nursing leadership, ensuring effective
communication.Collaborate with other departments to enhance patient
care and operational efficiency.Participate in interdisciplinary
