CNC Programmer/Operator

Responsibilities:
--- Work from complex prints to program and machine parts of various materials (primarily stainless steel and common plastics) on our Haas vertical mills and Mazak CNC turning centers.
--- Set and adjust work/tool offsets as necessary.
--- Independently select and set up tooling and fixtures/jaws.
--- Monitor the run of parts in the cycle and after completion to ensure that specifications and tolerances are met.
--- Be proficient in using and understanding all ordinary machine shop measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, ID/OD micrometers, etc.
--- Train and mentor peers, when necessary
--- Other duties as required by the Production Manager
Required qualifications:
--- HS diploma or equivalent, technical school certification a plus
--- 5+ years of CNC machining experience; primary proficiency in CNC turning. Mazak and Okuma conversational programming is a plus.
--- Strong knowledge of lathe and mill tooling/inserts
--- Be able to properly follow verbal instructions and interpret technical drawings/sketches. Be proficient in understanding technical drawings and sketches.
--- Work well with others and collaborate on cross-departmental projects.
