Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Hackensack, New Jersey.Job Description & Requirements

• Employment Type: Travel - 1Job Summary:The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.-Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient's needs.-Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.-Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.-Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.-Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.-Manages care of patients.-Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.-Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.-Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.-Float to units within competency as required.-Cardiac Vascular & Post Surgical Stepdown Unit.Skills-Minimum of 1 year prior RN experience working in a major acute care hospital setting required.Must have 1 year of Stepdown. Experience with vents & trached patients. Experience with Neuro, Trauma and Surgical patient. Telemetry experience.Experience with some infusions (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Cardene). Neurological assessments is a plus!Float Requirement: Likely not needed, but just in case- equal unit (stepdown/intermediate) or med surg telemetryRN must be willing and able to treat and manage patients on unit with a variety of conditions (including but not limited to flu, Covid, heart issues, lung issues, etc).Required Education:-ASN.Preferred Education:-BSN.Required Certifications & Licensure:-ACLS-NIHSS-BLS-AHA-CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours---NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.Preferred Certifications & Licensure:-N/ATact Medical Staffing Job ID #488103.
