The Capital Markets Intern Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The Capital Markets Intern Analyst also serves as an intermediary in trading for clients. The CMO group works with our corporate and government clients to develop, structure, and implement financing packages to meet their capital needs. The division is comprised of over 16 different groups that provide many traditional Investment Banking experiences (managing client relationships and working with them to develop strategic and tactical financing plans), while also incorporating a heavy focus on the ever-changing markets, similar to Sales & Trading. As a Capital Markets Origination Summer Analyst, you will join an intensive training program, where you will receive in-depth education on a variety of these topics to learn the fundamentals of the Analyst role, and you will be immersed in Citi's culture.We provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeedWe're committed to teaching you the ropes. The CMO Summer Analyst Program trains and grows key players in today's changing economic environment, and will equip them with the knowledge and training they need to help companies and governments raise capital in new and innovative ways. The 10 week Summer Analyst program starts in June and will kick off with a week of training, followed by nine weeks on a specific desk. In the Summer Analyst role, you will have the opportunity to network with peers across Citi through various activities including a team building activity in association with a local charity. Top performing Summer Analysts will be hired to join the following year's CMO Analyst Program.Your time here will look something like this---

  • Contribute to overall fixed income and equity relationships
  • Work and interact with corporate clients
  • Originate, market, structure, and execute fixed income and equity transactions
